The Franklin High School Wildcats accomplished two milestones for a football team, both within the first five years of existence. In 2006 the Varsity team was the first Wildcat team to win a league championship.  Under Head Coach Mike Johnson, they were Co-Champions of the Delta Valley Conference.  Also, the 2006 Varsity team was the first in the school's short history to make it to the CIF Section playoffs. Then, in 2007, the Wildcats made the playoffs for the second year in a row.

Mike Johnson and his 2006-7 staff  returned in 2009 . This staff, Dennis McIntyre, Dave Danielson, Bob Hunter,  Forrest Rowell,   along with Jason Van de Pol and Brad Draper,  again took the Varsity to the playoffs

What's happening in 2010? There will be a lot of hard work ahead; coaches preparing for the season via coaching clinics, establishing spring and summer programs, coaches meeting, fundraisers, etc.  The players will be preparing through spring and summer weight/speed/agility training, summer full contact camps and passing leagues.
